A room built for conversation and cards
The poker lounge is a dedicated space within Club de la Fortuna, finished in dark timber, oxblood leather, and brass detailing that matches the club's heritage character. The room holds a small number of full-size physical poker tables rather than rows of machines. Walls are panelled in walnut, and the ceiling is low enough to feel intimate without being cramped. Pendant lights hang directly over each table, creating pools of warm light.
The table arrangement
Each poker table is positioned with enough space for chairs to slide back comfortably and for hosts to move between tables without interrupting play. Tables are oval or round, covered in a deep green felt that echoes the club's bottle-green palette. Seating is fixed leather chairs with armrests, chosen for long evenings. The room can be reconfigured for private poker tables when a group books the whole lounge.
Lighting and sound
The lighting is deliberately low and warm, with brass fixtures and no overhead glare on the cards. Music is kept at a level that supports conversation. Each table has its own light source, so the rest of the room stays in soft shadow. There are no screens or digital displays in the lounge. The room is acoustically treated to reduce echo.
