Menus shaped by the evening

From the dining room to the poker lounge, every menu at Club de la Fortuna is designed around the rhythm of a Brisbane night out. Seasonal produce and classic technique sit alongside a considered drinks list, while the poker lounge has its own dedicated dining format built for social play.

An evening in four acts

Club de la Fortuna brings together four distinct dining contexts under one roof. Each has its own rhythm, but all are guided by the same kitchen and the same commitment to produce, technique, and unhurried hospitality.

The Dining Room

A serious restaurant menu built on seasonal Australian produce and classic technique. Three courses are available with an optional wine pairing, and many dishes are finished over wood and charcoal.

The Cocktail Bar

A considered list of classic and original cocktails alongside a deep wine cellar. Bar snacks and small plates are available throughout the evening, and the bartenders are trained in classic technique.

Private Dining

Set menus and bespoke options for groups in dedicated rooms. Menus are designed with the host, making the room suitable for celebrations, corporate events, and long dinners with friends.

Poker Lounge Evenings

A dedicated dining format served at the poker tables, designed for social play. Finger food and small plates are served discreetly so the game can continue without interruption.

Signature dishes

These are the dishes that regulars return for. They change with the seasons, but each one shows the kitchen's commitment to precise cooking and native Australian flavour.

Charcoal-grilled Moreton Bay bug with charred lemon and herb salad on a ceramic plate

Charcoal-Grilled Moreton Bay Bug

A Brisbane classic, grilled over charcoal and finished with native citrus butter. The bug is served with charred lemon and a bright herb salad, letting the sweetness of the seafood carry the dish.

A signature of the dining room.

Sliced dry-aged duck breast with pickled cherries and rich jus on a dark plate

Dry-Aged Duck Breast

Aged in-house and roasted to a deep mahogany, the duck breast is served with pickled cherries and a rich jus. Seasonal greens sit alongside, and the dish is a clear showcase of the kitchen's technique.

A study in patience and heat control.

Dark chocolate and wattleseed tart with a quenelle of double cream on a small plate

Dark Chocolate and Wattleseed Tart

A refined dessert with native Australian flavours, served with double cream. The tart balances bitterness and sweetness, and the wattleseed adds a warm, roasted note that lingers.

A favourite among regulars.

Designed for the table

The poker lounge menu is built around dishes that are easy to enjoy between hands, without interrupting the flow of the game. Small plates and finger food are served discreetly, and a dedicated poker host coordinates service so the table never feels crowded.

This format is available only during poker lounge evenings, making it a distinct part of the club's offering rather than a scaled-down version of the dining room.

What to expect

  • Small plates and finger food served at the table
  • Dishes that can be eaten without leaving the game
  • A dedicated poker host coordinating service
  • Available only on poker lounge evenings

The Dining Room Menu

The dining room menu moves through a familiar structure, but the details change with the market and the season. This is a guide to how an evening might unfold.

To Begin

Starters that range from light and fresh to rich and savoury. Oysters, cured meats, and seasonal salads are common, and each is designed to pair with an aperitif.

Mains

A selection of meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, many cooked over charcoal. Grilled fish, dry-aged beef, and roasted vegetables are served with seasonal sides.

Desserts

Classic desserts with an Australian twist, plus a cheese selection. The wattleseed tart, pavlova, and local cheeses can all be paired with dessert wines.

Cocktail Bar Menu

The bar list is built to work alongside the dining room, but it stands on its own for guests who want a shorter evening or a drink before dinner.

Cocktails

A list that honours the classics while incorporating native Australian botanicals. Signature drinks are named after Brisbane landmarks, and the bartenders can also make any classic on request.

Wine and Spirits

A cellar focused on Australian and old-world wines, plus a curated spirit selection. Many wines are available by the glass, and a sommelier is available for pairing advice.

Menus for every gathering

Private dining menus are built around the occasion, from intimate dinners to larger celebrations. The kitchen works with the host to shape a menu that suits the room, the group, and the pace of the evening.

  • Canapés and shared feasts available
  • Dietary requirements accommodated with advance notice
